We’ve invited Dr Justine Toh to speak at our Commencement Evening on Monday evening, 26th February.
Justine will speak about “Why apologetics is a little (or maybe a lot) like falling in love.” Justine’s a Senior Research Fellow for the Centre for Public Christianity. As well as celebrating the start of the academic year, the evening will be a brilliant opportunity to bring along people who are looking to develop a reasonable account of their faith.
Her talk may appeal to younger Christians trying to figure out why they believe, people who would like to develop their own approach to sharing their faith, and those people who can never leave alone the question of whether it remains reasonable to believe. Justine will explore an ‘apologetics of attraction’ and its potential to re-enchant our disenchanted age.
Justine is Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Public Christianity. She worked at Fairfax Digital before completing her doctorate in Cultural Studies at Macquarie University. She speaks and writes about freedom and individualism, the body as a project, and other trends in contemporary culture.
Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Venue: Trinity College Queensland, Level 1, 60 Bayliss St, Auchenflower
Light refreshments will be provided.
