Mentoring Workshop – Friday 19th July (9.30am to 4.00pm)
Mentors are essential in the equipping and growth of disciples. This course aims to provide a general approach to mentoring that provides mentors with fundamental skills that will enhance their mentoring practice. While a mentoring relationship might have specific contextual edges e.g. Mentoring in Phase 1 (Period of Discernment) or Phase 2 (Ministry Practicum) this course will set a foundation from which mentors can more effectively launch into various mentoring relationships. It is an ideal course for people who provide mentoring within a local Congregation context all the way through to those engaging in executive mentoring. The fundamentals of mentoring remain, even though the context demands a different expression.
Speaker: Nigel Rogers, Dean of Formation and Dispersed Learning
