Join us to get a sense of what it’s like to study at Trinity College Queensland.
Our Open evening is an opportunity to experience life at Trinity. You’ll meet with current students, learn about fee-help and listen to sample mini-lectures including “Pauline Theology and Participation in Christ” by John Frederick and “What’s wrong with me?” by Vicki Lorrimar. We’ll also provide information sessions about the Activate Gap Year program and pathways to ordination and chaplaincy within the Uniting Church. Supper provided.
Can’t make it to the open evening?
We’re opening our doors the following day from 9:00 am. Attend one of our lectures or listen to a faculty member as they unpack the Bible during Principal’s Hour. Lunch provided at 12:45 pm.
Trinity College Queensland supports the pursuit of honest answers to tough questions by drawing deeply from the Bible, the history of Christian thought and everyday life experience.
Trinity aims to graduate students with theological dexterity that has relevance within contemporary society. Our students graduate well-drilled in biblical interpretation and application, the history of Christian thought, preaching, pastoral care and Christian leadership. They learn how to communicate the Word of God clearly and authentically wherever you live and work. Most of all, our College aims to deepen and mature the faith of its community.
You’ll need to engage head, heart and hands as you wrestle with difficult texts from Scripture, attend lovingly to the views of people with whom you may disagree, and tackle real challenges the modern world poses to historic Christian faith.
The key phrase at Trinity is “mission-ready”, and that’s what drives our wide range of short courses and undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Trinity aims to form and educate people for the broad reach of the church, whether that’s through ordained forms of ministry, serving in the local church, or engaging in mission in the community and workplace.
Our new Activate Gap Year program is a three-day per week program for school-leavers around 18 to 23 years of age. Activate provides purposeful learning and spiritual growth in the context of a vibrant Christian community, with formal theological study, service activities and local and overseas mission experiences.
