My parents are Christian, so I’ve always been taught to search the Bible and seek God’s guidance in life. My love of books didn’t come naturally—at first I struggled with reading. Teaching Primary students for 20 years, I really wanted to help students who struggled in their reading and studies. I found that if you can get them interested in reading, it’s so much easier. In the process, I developed my own passion for reading! That has led me to study a Master of Education (Teacher Librarian) and to my role of Library Manager at Trinity. It’s a fantastic opportunity to apply my teaching experience and love of reading to help even more students (just a little older now!) I’ve been welcomed with open arms and I want to create a library that does the same for students—assisting them in their Christian study and journey.
