Our faculty is deeply convinced about the basic teachings of the Christian faith. We stand in the mainstream of a long tradition that, for us, too, works well at explaining the world and helping us negotiate it in a way that brings life, light, joy, harmony, and productivity.
Our tradition welcomes the most serious and searching of questions, and we want to welcome you to ask them. Our faculty and students purposefully interact with others who don’t share our beliefs. We’re intent on understanding alternative views with the hope that we will gain greater clarity on the truth.
The Trinity distinctive supports an honest approach to theological education. Sometimes this may feel unsettling. After all, a truly honest approach has an explorative dimension to it, in which one cannot predict where one will end up. We feel that this form of theological education has more to offer the Church and our society than approaches which train people in settled answers.
Trinity College Queensland is a theological institution of the Uniting Church in Australia, a movement within the Reformed and Evangelical tradition. The College’s values, mission, and ethos are governed by the vision set out in the Basis of Union.
We deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in partnership with the Adelaide College of Divinity and Flinders University.
