DESCRIPTION:40 Years of Multiculturalism Celebration\nIn 1985\, the Uniting Church in Australia officially declared itself a multicultural church\, recognising and celebrating the rich cultural and linguistic diversity within its congregations and communities. \nForty years on\, the church is gathering to reflect on this journey\, share stories\, and envision what the next chapter of multicultural ministry will look like. \nA major three-day national celebration and conference will be held in Sydney\, bringing together church leaders\, theologians\, cultural communities\, and young emerging voices from across Australia and beyond. \nIt’s a chance to hear where we’ve come from\, where we are now\, and where we hope to go as a church that lives out its commitment to inclusivity\, diversity\, and intercultural relationships. \n🟠 Join from anywhere!  \nWhile the event is held in Sydney\, you can either join us in person at Trinity for a shared livestream viewing and catered hospitality\, or tune in online from wherever you are. \nIt’s a meaningful opportunity to come together as a local community while being part of a national movement. \n🟠 What to Expect?  \nLivestream access to the full national conference program \nEngaging keynote speakers\, panel discussions\, and theological reflections \nThought-provoking conversations about multicultural ministry and intercultural relationships \nIn-person guests at Trinity will enjoy morning tea\, lunch\, and afternoon tea each day! \n🟠 Program Highlights \nDay 1 – 10th June: Reflections on 40 years of multicultural ministry\, national conference stories\, and voices of second-generation leaders. \nDay 2 – 11th June: Theological papers\, responses\, and talanoa (Pasifika-style open conversation) exploring multicultural and intercultural ministry. \nDay 3 – 12th June: Future-focused presentations on leadership\, mission\, worship\, youth\, and more\, concluding with a national plenary session. \nTime: 9:00am – 5:00pm each day \nCost: $10 per person\, per day.
