Light refreshments will be provided! \nParking will be available both on-site and in surrounding side streets. DESCRIPTION:50 Years of the Uniting Church in Queensland\n24 July 2027 | 9am-4pm | Trinity College Queensland \nIn 2027\, we celebrate 50 years of the Uniting Church in Queensland—50 years of faith\, ministry\, community\, change and countless stories. \nJoin us at Trinity College Queensland for a special History Symposium exploring the story of the Uniting Church in Queensland and the people and communities who have shaped its journey. \nFollowing the conversations and stories shared at our 2026 History Symposium\, this year’s event will continue to bring together students\, ministers\, lay people\, scholars\, historians and members of the wider Church community to explore our shared history. \nA story worth remembering\nChurch history is more than dates\, names and significant events. It is also found in the stories of ordinary people\, local congregations and communities who have lived out their faith across generations. \nThroughout the day\, we will hear from speakers and contributors exploring different aspects of the Uniting Church’s story\, while reflecting on the traditions and communities that came before it. \nThere will also be opportunities to encounter history through archival material\, photographs\, documents\, artefacts and displays\, bringing the stories of Queensland’s churches to life. \nWhether you’ve been part of the Uniting Church for decades\, are just beginning to discover its history\, or simply want to learn more\, we invite you to come along. \nCome and be part of the story\nThe symposium is open to students\, ministers\, lay people\, scholars\, historians and anyone interested in the history of the Uniting Church in Queensland. \nCome to learn.
