DESCRIPTION:Build Relational Power and Take Shared Action for the Common Good \n2026 is a year of listening and building relationships for action in the Queensland Community Alliance. Hundreds of community leaders and members have already gathered in church halls\, neighbourhood centres\, and lunch rooms to eat together\, share stories about the pressures they face\, and commit to taking action together. \nJoin the Queensland Community Alliance for a free two-day Foundations of Community Organising training institute\, hosted by Trinity College\, on Wednesday 15 and 22 July 2026\, from 8:45am–4:30pm each day. \nThis interactive training is designed for community leaders\, volunteers\, students\, and people passionate about creating positive change. It offers a practical introduction to community organising and the skills needed to build collective power for the Common Good. \nParticipants will learn how to: \n\nBuild relationships for public action\nDevelop leadership in themselves and others\nStrengthen the capacity and impact of their organisations\nUse relational power in the public sphere to take action together\n\nThrough stories\, shared reflection\, and hands-on practice\, you will connect with other leaders\, learn core organising tools\, and explore how communities can work together to transform congregations\, local communities\, and the wider state. \nNo prior experience is required.
