QLD Community Alliance Training (15 & 22 July)
22nd July @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Build Relational Power and Take Shared Action for the Common Good
2026 is a year of listening and building relationships for action in the Queensland Community Alliance. Hundreds of community leaders and members have already gathered in church halls, neighbourhood centres, and lunch rooms to eat together, share stories about the pressures they face, and commit to taking action together.
Join the Queensland Community Alliance for a free two-day Foundations of Community Organising training institute, hosted by Trinity College, on Wednesday 15 and 22 July 2026, from 8:45am–4:30pm each day.
This interactive training is designed for community leaders, volunteers, students, and people passionate about creating positive change. It offers a practical introduction to community organising and the skills needed to build collective power for the Common Good.
Participants will learn how to:
- Build relationships for public action
- Develop leadership in themselves and others
- Strengthen the capacity and impact of their organisations
- Use relational power in the public sphere to take action together
Through stories, shared reflection, and hands-on practice, you will connect with other leaders, learn core organising tools, and explore how communities can work together to transform congregations, local communities, and the wider state.
No prior experience is required. All are welcome.
