The Rodney Eivers Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to new students of Trinity College Queensland that are unable to access FEE HELP to assist with their tuition fees.
The successful applicants will be informed of the scholarship award before the commencement of their first semester.

HOW TO APPLY

To be considered for the Rodney Eivers Scholarship, applicants must submit an essay of 600-1,000 words.

Submit an essay of approx. 600-1,000 words on the following and using the form below to submit:

Write an essay introducing yourself and provide an overview of your life story, with a focus on your faith journey (if applicable). The essay should also discuss your goals and what you hope to achieve through your studies at Trinity.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

A scholarship allowance of up to $1,000 that will be paid against the applicant’s fees.
($1,000 towards a unit in a an ACT course at Trinity College Queensland)

CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

To apply for the $1,000 scholarship the applicant must hold PR or Australian citizenship (no student VISA required for study).

ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY AND SELECTION CRITERIA

  • The applicant must be currently enrolled in, and planning to complete, an ACT course at Trinity College Queensland.
  • The applicant should not be eligible for or have access to FEE HELP for their course fees.
  • The applicant should not have previously received a scholarship from the Rodney Eivers Scholarship.
  • The applicant must hold PR or Australian citizenship (no student VISA required for study) for the ACT course only.
  • If the scholarship is awarded, the funds will be used to cover the applicant’s fees.

SELECTION PROCESS

Once the essays have been received, they will be forwarded to The Finance, Investment and Property (FIP) board.  The FIP board will have a 3-member panel to review the applications ensuring that they have met the criteria above and determine if they qualify to receive the Rodney Eivers Scholarship.

Once approved, the Trinity Office Manager will notify the successful applicants.

A time will then be organised to award a certificate from Mr. Eivers to each of the successful applicants over a coffee with a member of the Trinity staff.

Each successful applicant will receive a one-off amount of up to $1,000 paid directly towards their fees and a receipt will be sent to the applicant showing the deduction of the balance of their fees.
