This bursary is awarded to new tertiary students of Trinity College Queensland, to assist with their course fees whilst studying for a Bachelor of Ministry degree. The aim of the bursary is to provide financial support to students and to encourage the development of a greater awareness of the breadth and diversity in theology and scriptural scholarship, as it relates to contemporary society.

Applications close – Thursday 28 February 2019
The student will be awarded the bursary on or before Thursday 2 May 2019. The presentation of the bursary certificate/award will be on 14 November 2018.
How to apply
Register your interest to apply for the Scholarship by emailing Scholarship@trinity.qld.edu.au and you will be sent the reading list and essay question for your 1,000-word written piece. You must email or post an application for the Rodney Eivers Bursary by the closing date. If you’ve already submitted an application in the last six months you don’t need to apply again.
Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications via email on or before Thursday 1 November 2018.

Course Fees Allowance
An allowance of $13,000 up to one calendar year is available. This will be paid to the student in two instalments at the end of each semester.

Eligibility and selection criteria
To be eligible for this bursary, you need to:
- be a new student at Trinity College Queensland enrolled in a Bachelor of Ministry degree.
- be undertaking a full-time load of 3 subjects or more. Students undertaking a single subject or a non-award course (e.g. study abroad or exchange) are not eligible.
The Scholarships Advisory Council will make determinations on recipients of scholarships based on the advertised selection criteria and may receive recommendations from specialist advisors. The Scholarships Committee in consultation with the Synod Finance Investment and Property Board will review and approve all disbursements from the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod Scholarship Fund.
