Church History Symposium

Join us at Trinity College Queensland for the Church History Symposium: Celebrating (Almost) 50 Years of the Uniting Church in Queensland on Saturday 15 August, 9:00am–4:00pm.

This day forms part of Dr Rachel Krohn’s unit, History of Christianity in Australia, and will focus on the last almost 50 years of the Uniting Church in Queensland. Through lectures, discussion, and Q&A, participants will reflect on the history of the UCA in Queensland and consider how that history shapes our understanding of the church today and our hopes for the future.

Sessions will explore the history of the UCA in Queensland, the history of the UAICC in Queensland, multicultural expressions of the Uniting Church, and the history of UCA theological education in Queensland, including Trinity College Queensland.

This symposium is open to students, ministers, lay people, scholars, and anyone interested in the story of the Uniting Church in Queensland.

Registration is $20 per person, which includes morning tea and lunch.
