Are you curious about theology or interested in furthering your studies in 2024?

Trinity College QLD invites you to our September OPEN DAYS where you can immerse yourself in the Trinity Experience and get a firsthand taste of what our community looks like while getting the chance to see what the “Day in the Life of” a Trinity student.

Join us on campus or online in one or more of our classes on Tuesday 12 or Wednesday 13 September.

You can choose from a variety of lectures, join us for chapel, enjoy lunch with us, meet the lecturers and interact with the community. You can also ask any questions you have and explore how studying at Trinity could work for you.

Check out the OPEN DAY SCHEDULE below to see the lectures that are available over the two days. You can decide whether you want to attend the day or night sessions on either of the days. Or you can even attend the full 2 days!

Please note that Tuesday’s DAY SESSION will include a chapel service and lunch that you can attend (available to in-person attendees only).

OPEN DAY SCHEDULE

Please note that you can attend as few or as many lectures as you like throughout the day – onsite or via a zoom link. (Where a lecture runs for more than one hour, you are invited to attend the first hour and then chat with a member of our team to learn more about your pathways for study at Trinity.) 

Tuesday 12 September

– DAY SESSION – 

9am – 9.30am: College Open – Attendee Arrival (Please note that if you plan to attend a Class, we encourage you to arrive approx. 20 minutes before each class to ensure that you have all the information you need to set up with wifi etc before heading into the Class.) 

9.30 – 10.20am: Class  

  • Subject: Denominational Distinctives 
  • Topic: A Multicultural Church 
  • Lecturer: Neil Pembroke 

11.45am – 12.30pm: CHAPEL Service (Onsite attendees only) 

12.30 – 1.15pm: LUNCH (Onsite attendees only) 

Join us for community lunch. It’s our shout – every Tuesday! A menu will be available for you to choose from when you select the Lunch ticket option. 

1.25 – 2.15pm: Class 

  • Subject: Chaplaincy 
  • Topic: Chaplaincy in the Community 
  • Lecturer: Helen Dick 

2.15pm – 6pm: BREAK 

Please note that you are welcome to stay onsite during this break time and speak to our college lecturers and students, explore the college grounds, get a coffee from the onsite cafe or check out the library. Otherwise, this would conclude the day session. 

– NIGHT SESSION –  

6pm-7.30pm: ACTIVATE Gap Year Program Info Session* 

  • Find out all you need to know about our ACTIVATE Gap Year program* and bring your questions for open discussions in a casual environment which will include a PIZZA DINNER. 
  • Facilitator: Fernando Torres 

*Please note that while anyone can attend the session, the ACTIVATE Gap Year Program is only available for 18–25 year-old applicants.

Wednesday 13 September

– DAY SESSION –

  • Subject: 2 Corinthians and the shape of Christian Leadership 
  • Topics Covered: TBC 
  • Lecturer: Jameson Ross 

10.25am – 6pm: BREAK
